What we do

We mentor kids, teens, young adults, and families, and we back it with practical help.

Every part of our work comes back to people. Three initiatives, one way of working: we show up, we listen, and we keep coming back.

Who this is for

For every age, and the families around them.

Mentoring is the center of our work. It starts with kids at age five and carries on through the teen years, young adulthood, and adult life. Practical help sits alongside it, because a steady relationship matters most when the basics are shaky.

Open to everyone. Whatever’s going on at home, and however long it’s been going on, you can reach out.

  • Kids and teens

Someone steady in their corner, from age five onward.

  • Young adults

A sounding board through the decisions that shape a life.

  • Families

Encouragement and practical help, so no one carries it alone.

The Mentorship Pathway

Mentoring follows a path, and it starts at age five.

See the five stages

  3. Ages 15–18

Our initiatives

Three ways we walk alongside people.

  1. An older man and a young boy sitting together on a sofa, working through a book side by side

    Mentoring

We stand with children, teens, young adults, and families, offering encouragement, guidance, and hope as they grow in character.

    What this looks like

    • Steady relationships

Mentors who listen, encourage, and stay in the picture as life changes.

    • Five stages, age 5 into adulthood

Each stage has its own focus, from character and identity to life skills and a fresh start as an adult.

  2. Two adults talking across a kitchen table, working through paperwork together over coffee

    Practical Support

Hands-on help and guidance for youth and families facing real life challenges, connecting them with resources, encouragement, and support when they need it most.

    What this looks like

    • Help through a hard season

Sometimes that’s a connection to the right resource. Sometimes it’s someone who keeps checking in.

    • How to ask

Email Info@believefnd.com, call (513) 537-4951, or send a message from our contact page.

  3. A family gathered around a holiday dinner table, smiling as one of the children takes a photo

    Seasonal Support

Each season, we provide families with holiday meals, Christmas gifts, and support that brings a little extra hope and joy.

    What this looks like

    • Holiday meals and Christmas gifts

For families in our community, at the time of year when going without is felt most.

    • Ask us about it

If your family could use some help this season, or you’d like to be part of it, get in touch.

How we work

What happens when you reach out.

It starts with a conversation.

  1. You reach out

Email, call, or send a message. A few lines is plenty.

  2. We listen first

We talk it through and work out together what would actually help, whether that’s mentoring, practical help, or something else.

  3. We keep showing up

We’re not here for one visit. We’d like to be around for the long haul.

How we look at a request

When you ask for practical help

We listen first and talk through what would help. Sometimes that’s something we can do directly; sometimes it’s connecting you with the right resource.

We meet people where they are and help them take the next right step.

Common questions

Don’t see your question here? Send us a message and we’ll be in touch.

What ages do you mentor?

From age five into adulthood. The Mentorship Pathway runs in five stages for kids, teens, young adults, and adults (as needed). The last stage, Restoration & Redirection, is for adults looking to regain clarity and build toward a healthier, more stable path.

Can my business partner with you?

Yes. Businesses walk alongside us too, and they get started the same way volunteers do.

Where do donations go?

Across all three initiatives: mentoring, practical support, and seasonal support. If you’d like your gift to go to one in particular, tell us when you give.
