Mentoring that shows up, and keeps showing up.

Someone steady who will show up, listen, encourage, and stick with you. It’s for kids from age five, teens, young adults, adults, and families.

Christmas drive

This Christmas, the need is huge.

Our Christmas drive is collecting toys, clothes and more for kids and families. Get in touch and we’ll tell you what’s needed most and where to bring it.

Why mentoring

A mentor doesn’t fix your life. They walk it with you.

We invest in mentoring because one consistent relationship can reshape the years that follow. People don’t just need advice. They need someone who will show up, listen, encourage them, and walk with them through real life.

So a mentor isn’t here to take over, and isn’t here to hand over a plan and leave. They meet people where they are and help them take the next right step, and then the one after that.

Wherever you’re starting from.

Whatever your age, background, or story, you don’t have to earn a mentor. Wanting one is enough.

What it actually looks like

A relationship first.

Here’s what a mentor actually does.

The Mentorship Pathway

Five stages, each built around a question.

What a mentor focuses on changes as a person grows, and each stage is built around the question that matters most at that point in life. The pathway page explains all five in full.

  1. Ages 5–10

    Foundations

“Who I am & how I treat others”

  2. Ages 11–14

    Identity & Direction

    “Who am I becoming?”

  3. Ages 15–18

    Purpose & Preparation

    “Where am I going?”

  4. Ages 18–25

    Launch & Life Skills

“How do I build a meaningful life?”

  5. Adults

    Restoration & Redirection

“It’s not too late to build well.”

Who mentoring is for

From age five, through adult life.

Mentoring isn’t one program for one age. It changes shape as people grow, and it’s here whether things are going well or coming apart.

  • Kids, from age five

Character, emotional awareness, and the sense that their life has value and purpose. Mentoring builds confidence, healthy habits, and resilience.

  • Teens

Identity, accountability, and room to make decisions well, through the years when peer pressure and the future both weigh heavily.

  • Young adults

Guidance, accountability, and support during seasons where decisions feel heavy and the future can feel uncertain.

  • Families

Encouragement that strengthens relationships, reinforces healthy homes, and helps parents carry the weight of life with support rather than isolation.

Reaching out for someone else?

Find a Mentor

You can reach out for yourself or on behalf of someone you know.

Adults are mentored too, as needed. The pathway’s last stage is for adults who want to stabilize, redirect, or start again.

Getting started

Two ways in.

One for people who need a mentor, one for people who want to be one. Both begin the same way: with a conversation.

  • If you need a mentor

For a child, a teenager, a young adult, or for yourself. You don’t need the right words.

  • If you want to mentor

Caring adults are what this work is made of. Mentors, volunteers, and business partners all start in the same place.

What happens after you reach out

  1. A personal reply

Not a queue and not a form letter. Our office hours are Mon–Fri, 9:00am–5:00pm, and we’ll be in touch soon.

  2. A first conversation

We ask how things are going, and we listen. If mentoring fits, we’ll work out which stage makes sense. If something else would help more, we’ll say so.

  3. Honest from the start

If we can’t take something on, you’ll hear it from us early, along with where else to turn.

Alongside mentoring

The help that backs it up.

Encouragement goes further when the week ahead is covered and the holidays aren’t a source of worry. These two exist so mentoring isn’t asked to carry everything on its own.

  • Practical Support

Hands-on help and guidance for youth and families facing real life challenges, connecting them with resources, encouragement, and support when they need it most.

  • Seasonal Support

Each season, we provide families with holiday meals, Christmas gifts, and support that brings a little extra hope and joy.

Honest questions

If yours isn’t here, ask us directly.

How old does my child need to be?

The pathway begins at age 5. If your child is younger, get in touch anyway. We’re happy to talk.

What is the time commitment for a mentor?

Mentoring works because someone keeps showing up, so what matters is consistency over time rather than a set number of hours. We’ll work out what fits your life before you start.

What if we’re in crisis right now?

Tell us anyway. We’ll listen, and help you find the right support, whether that’s us or someone else. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988.

Can we support mentoring financially?

Yes. Every gift helps keep mentoring going, along with the practical help around it. You can give once or monthly on our Donate page. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
